Since Dylan came home from the hospital he has had quite a few firsts. Here are just a few...
First time to the doctor!
At 4 days old Dylan had to go to the doctor to check his jaundice levels. We had to go back a few more times to make sure they were going down...fortunately they did and soon he didn't look like an Ompah Lompah anymore :)
Dylan's first Christmas!!!
The Edgeworths came over to our house for Christmas Eve and The Plylers came over for Christmas Day! We had a full house but Dylan was a trooper...he actually made time for some naps! This outfit was from Dylan's Nana! That first week of his life was the only time he wore newborn clothes. After Christmas it was all 0-3 months and 3 month clothes for my chunky-monkey!!!
First Target Trip
When Dylan turned 10 days old we had another Doctors visit and got a clean bill of health! To celebrate...we went to Mommy's favorite store TARGET! He slept most of the time spent there...but I know he had fun :)
Now, he goes with me to Target at least once a week!!!
Dylan's First SNOW!
In January of 2011, we had a lot of snow! Can you believe it? Snow that stuck around in South Carolina!!! Well it did and the whole family went out to play in it! I'm glad we were able to use Dylan's monkey snow suit from his cousins Miller and Reilly! Ain't it cute?!
Dylan's First Bath
Yes we did give Dylan sponge baths but this is a picture of his first real bath at 12 days old, when his stump finally fell off!!! I had no idea what I was doing and I didn't know what too hot meant! Well he screamed the whole time! I know...we have video of the event! I realized on my second try (which was way after the first because I was scared he was going to scream again) I had the tub backwards and the water was too cold! Who likes a cold bath? Not me :) Anyways now Dylan loves his bath! He splash, splash, splashes and has a good ole time! Everything with a newborn is trial and error...I had many errors! Haha!

Dylan's First St. Patty's Day Parade
(Mommy's and Daddy's too...never got up that early to celebrate)
We had fun! Got lots of " look at that baby's hair!" and "awe...cute!" Daddy drank a green beer and Dylan got a Knuffle Bunny (the book too!)....in all it was a pretty good day!!!
St. Patty's day is pretty special to Mommy and Daddy because that was the day they had their first kiss! So I'm sure the family will be back next year...and the years to come :)
Dylan's First Date!
Dylan had his first date with his womb buddy Allie Jane Campbell!
She's an older baby...that's how he rolls! (9 days older to be exact) Dyl got all decked out in jeans and a button-up and did his best to impress AJ! However, when the tummy rumbles...Dylan let's everyone know he's hungry!!! Hopefully he made a better second impression on Allie :) I'm sure he did!
Dylan's First Easter!
First Dylan went to see the Easter Bunny at Columbiana Mall! After some trying we got a killer smile :) Next picture is what the Easter Bunny left Dylan!!! Mommy's and Daddy's favorite candy and BUBBLES!!!
Dylan's First Spring Game!
Another first of many Gamecock football games! He played, he slept and he ate (what most babies do) all while hanging out and tailgating with friends! This is another special day for Mommy and Daddy! It's the day they knew they were meant for each other! Awe....and here he is...
Dylan's first time Sitting-Up like a big boy :)
On the day Dylan turned 5 months old Mommy had to take him to daycare because Daddy was out of town! Daddy sends a picture of Dyl every morning while she's at work...so Mommy did the same for Daddy! We had never tried sitting him up by himself until that day...and he did it!!! Well for a few seconds and then he fell over! He's been sitting up ever since...and he loves it!!! Now he's starting to lean forward...not much longer and I may have to get some baby gates :)
Dylan's First Photo Contest!
That photo was also used for the Gerber Photo Search! Dylan got over 300 votes...which I think is awesome! They will announce the winner sometime in August! Win or lose...we know he's the cutest kid in our book! (or blog...haha!)

So this concludes our post about Dylan's firsts!!! But there are going to be more...we all know that!!! And we all know that Dylan was the first born...but certainly not the last!!!
