You said goodbye to your friends at Little Peoples to stay home with Mommy!!!
You went back to Ocean Lakes for your 1/2 birthday!!!
You learned how to swim by yourself with your puddle jumpers!!!
You went to Disney World!!!
You met Mickey!!!
You rode a pony at Riverbanks Zoo!!!
You rode all the rides at the fair!!!
You had your first 2HD preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch!!!
You were Mickey Mouse for Halloween!!!
And now YOU ARE THREE!!!

A few more things…
You can say just about anything and everything.  Sometimes you amaze me and your daddy with all the things you know and understand.  Right now, my favorite thing you say is, "Mommy, hey, I got an idea!"  It's so cute :)  You know all your colors and you can count to 20.  You have a great memory and you like to know "what's next".  You still love books and pretend to read all the time.  You are beginning to understand that words "say something" and you ask "what does that say" all the time :)  Of course, that makes mommy happy!  One of your favorite books this year was called Bugs in my Hair by David Shannon.  You love to sing and jump!!! You love spiderman--although any super hero will do!  You can ride your tricycle all by yourself.  You are potty trained (except poop…still working on that…you are so stubborn!)  You have watched your first movie which was Monsters University and your second movie was Frozen.  You love SWEETS…cookies, cupcakes, ice cream!  You are super to your little sister and she lights up when you play with her!  You can make her giggle the most and I love that you love her so much!  These past 3 years have been the best and I look forward to learning more with you and watching you grow! I'm just so happy God let me be your Mommy :)

Happy Birthday Dylan!

Mommy, Daddy and Delaney love you soooooooooo much!!!!

Delaney is 7 months old!

On November 17, 2013
Delaney turned 7 months old!
Here she is…

A few stats...
Weight: Maybe 21lbs
Height: ??
Head: ??
Eye color:  Grey/Brown
Hair color: light brown

My juicy baby ;)

Sleeping:  Bedtime is at 7pm and Delaney likes to wake up anytime between 6 and 7.  She naps twice a day.  Her morning nap is usually around 8 or 9 and she will nap for about 45 min.  Her afternoon nap is usually around 1:30 and she will nap 1-2 hours.
Feeding:  We are back on track with nursing…thankfully.  (For all you pumping moms out there…way to go!)  It is so much easier to nurse than pump!  And breastfeeding is much more affordable for us than buying formula!!!  Delaney is nursing about 5-6 times a day usually 7am, 10am, 1pm, 3:30pm, 5:30pm and 7pm.  It doesn't take long for her to nurse.  She's usually done in about 5 minutes or so!  She eats oatmeal and 1/2 a tub of fruit for breakfast around 8am, veggies for lunch at 12pm and rice cereal and the rest of the fruit for dinner at 6pm.  She loves to snack on Mum-Mums!  When she sees me getting her food ready for breakfast, lunch or dinner she gets so excited and then mad when I don't give it to her fast enough!!!  Ha!  She loves to eat :)
Clothes:  She's wearing 9 month clothing and some 12 months.
Fun Facts:  She can sit up like a champ now!  She can clap!  She can wave and say bye-bye! When she smiles, it lights up the room :)

A few pictures…

Happy 7 months baby girl!
Mommy, Daddy and big brother Dylan love you very much :)

Delaney is 6 months old...and a 1/2 birthday celebration!

Delaney is 6 months old!!!

And that means another 1/2 birthday celebration tradition has started :)

Delaney turned 6 months old on October 17, 2013.
Here she is...

A few stats...
Weight: 19lbs 12oz  95%
Height: 27 1/4"  94%
Head:  44 1/2 cm  94%
Eye color:  Grey/Brown
Hair color: light brown

My juicy baby ;)

Sleeping:  We are down to 2 naps.  Sometimes 3 if one is cut short.  She takes her morning nap about an hour and a half from the time she has her first feeding (and that still varies).  Sometimes she gets up at 5am sometimes 6am and other times I wake her up by 7am.  It helps to keep her on a schedule if she's up no later than 7am.  She takes an afternoon nap with her brother from 1-3 or 1:30-3:30 depending on what we are dong that morning.  She goes to bed anywhere from 6:45-7:30.  However, due to teething, she has been waking up 2 times at night usually at 12 and 3am.  At first, I was rocking and nursing her back to sleep but then it became a habit and now we are having to let her fuss for a while so she can learn to put herself back to sleep.  She's doing okay...still trying to break her of the habit though.  Any ideas, please share!
Feeding:  She is still nursing once in the morning and taking bottles of breastmilk the rest of the day.  She no longer needs supplemented formula bottles because my supply is back up from a medication I am taking to help with my supply called Domperidone.  It has really helped, thankfully :)  She usually eats 6 times a day and about 5oz with each feeding.  We have started fruits and veggies and so far she has liked everything I have tried with her.  Her first food was peaches!
Clothes:  She's now wearing 6-9 month clothing but mostly 9 month because she's so long.
Fun Facts:  She can sit up (for short periods of time before falling over).  She is expanding her sounds.  I have heard her say "ma" and "ga"!  She is really attached to her loveys and likes to play with the tag just like her big brother.  She has more teeth coming...just not here yet.  She goes crazy in the jumper!  She loves to jump and laugh and play with the toys attached.  And, of course, she loves to be held by Mommy :)

A few pictures...
She's like..."what, I'm 6 months old already?"
They sure do love each other :)
Happy baby about to go get shots from the doctor :(

After her doctors appointment we went to the FAIR!!!
And another 1/2 birthday celebration was born.  For Dylan's 1/2 birthdays we go to Ocean Lakes Family Campground but for Delaney's we will continue going to the fair!
Here are a few highlights from our happy time at the SC State Fair...
 Dylan loved riding the cars!
Delaney was all smiles...taking in all the lights and people :)
Next year maybe she can ride a few rides with Mommy!
Dylan is such a big boy now riding the rides all by himself :)

We had a great time!!!

The next day Delaney didn't feel too good.  I realized she never had the flu shot before and I think that's what caused her to get a fever.  Luckily, she hasn't had more than 99-100 degree fevers since she was born but after her shots she got a 101.4 degree fever so she was not feeling to well.  Thankfully, I am home to keep her comfy and give her all the snuggles she needs to feel better!

Happy 1/2 birthday baby girl!  We love love love you sooooooooooo much!!!!!!

Love,
Mommy, Daddy and Dylan :)

A Magical Kingdom...

We went to DISNEY!!!

On Thursday September 26, 2013 we took a trip with two other families to Disney World.
Here we all are at The Magic Kingdom.
From left to right:  Jack, Chris and Katie...Dan, Dylan, Kristi and Delaney...MaryBeth, Perry and Allie Jane!
We all had a BLAST!

The beginning of our trip began with the loooonnng ride there.  Here is a picture of Dylan at lunch.  We stopped at Burger King!
We began our trip early in the morning at about 5:30am.  Delaney slept until about 8:30am but Dylan was wide awake and excited :)  He was mostly excited because we put the DVD player in the backseat so he could watch movies on the way there...or as he calls them "moosies" (those v's and f's get him!)
Here he is in the back watching...
I was able to use a bungee cord and tie it to my headrest.  It worked great!

We had to stop quite a few times with a preschooler who is potty training and a 5 month old that likes to play and move around!  But they did great!!!
We stayed at a house that we rented with the other two families.  It had a pool and was comfortable with all those kids and adults together.  We were only minutes away from Disney so it made for an easy morning to get to the most magical place on earth!

We left for Disney about 8am Friday morning.  Here is Dylan riding the monorail...
The look on his face says it all...amazed!
Here are a few highlights of our day at The Magic Kingdom.

Dylan and Delaney chilling in the Double BOB...going in...

Posing in front of the castle.
It was so sweet...Dylan took Delaney's hand to hold for the picture :)

Delaney having lunch while on the "It's a Small World" ride.

We met Goofy...or as Dylan calls him "Goosie"!!!

Dylan and Allie Jane watching the Parade together!

Miss Priss all smiles at Disney!

Dylan exhausted on the Teacups!
Haha...this was late in the day (he only napped like 15 minutes in the stroller).

Lastly, we went to meet Mickey Mouse!
Mickey was the only character that signed his autograph book.  All the others had autographs pre made.  He was super excited and so proud of that autograph.  So much so, he took it to school the next day to share with his teachers!
He may look unhappy...he's not!  He's really tired and star struck!  He could not stop talking about meeting Mickey Mouse for days.  He would sing the Mickey Mouse clubhouse song and walk around carrying his autograph book!!!

So happy to share our first Disney trip with great friends!
We are already planning our next trip back!  Hopefully soon than later...these kids grow up so fast!!!

Delaney is 5 months old!

Delaney turned 5 months old September 17, 2013!
And here she is...

A few stats...
Weight: I would say about 17lbs! (She's juicy just like Dylan was)
Height: Taller than she was at 4mo!
Head:  Bigger than last time, I'm sure!
Eye color:  Grey/Brown
Hair color: light brown
(We go back to check stats at 6 months)

Sleeping:  She's still working on her 2 naps a day but usually is ready to nap about an hour after she eats.  She has her afternoon nap about 1:30-3:30 sometimes longer which is great because that is when big brother sleeps, too!  She usually goes to bed about 7:30-8 and has been waking up at 5am.
Feeding:  She is now nursing once in the morning and taking bottles of breastmilk and supplemented with formula the rest of the day due to a condition I developed shortly after she turned 4 months old called Postpartum Thyroiditis.  My thyroid was speeding up my metabolism and my supply of milk suffered.  You can find out more information here. She usually eats 6 times a day and about 5-6oz with each feeding.  She also has rice cereal at lunch and dinner times. Next month we get to try fruits and veggies :)
Clothes:  She loves all her hand-me-downs and so do I!!!  She's wearing 3-6 months.
Fun Facts:  She has 2 teeth!!! (on the bottom)  She found her toes!  And she can hold her own bottle!

Here is a picture of her feeding herself...

We also stopped swaddling and she now goes to sleep in her cutie patootie PJ's...

She loves to laugh and giggle when being tickled.  She loves to be held but if someone other than Mommy is holding her...she's turning her head to find me!  She loves to watch her big brother play and she can jump in her play jumper!  She TALKS all the time!!!  I'm sure her teachers in the future will LOVE that...haha!

We love you baby girl!!!!

Love,
Mommy, Daddy and Dylan :)

Delaney is 3 months old!

"Laney-bug", as Daddy calls her, is 3 months old!
She's growing and getting bigger everyday :)

Delaney turned 3 months old on July 17th.  The best part about her is her smile :)  She could be fighting sleep and frustrating me and she smiles so big and wide that I can't help but to smile back.  She looks for me in a room and is happy to see me when I walk by.  Dylan loves to give her hugs and kisses and it brings me such joy to watch him love on her like that.  He is so sweet to her!  He loves to tell me, "Delaney's crying...she needs her passy!"  Or when I'm changing her, he will say, "Delaney got a BIG stinky?"  It's so funny!

Here she is again!
Isn't she a cutie :)

A few stats...
Weight:  ? (a little over 12lbs now)
Height: ? (a little over 23 1/2in. now)

She's growing so fast and I am so blessed to be here for every minute of it!
Mommy, Daddy and big brother love you very much baby girl!!!

Our Mini-Vacay...Delaney is 2 months...Dylan is 2 1/2!

This year for Dylan's 1/2 birthday we went back to Ocean Lakes Family Campground.  This is the 3rd year in a row!  It's becoming a family tradition that may just have to stick.  I used to go every year as a kid and loved it :)  It really is a great place!  Although having a 2 year old and an infant has it's challenges, right now it's just time to make memories.

Here is Dylan hanging out in his beach chair.  We just finished setting up the camper.  Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us borrow it every year!
After we set up camp, we went out to the beach!  Every year Dylan can do a little more.  This year he enjoyed sitting in the sand and playing.  He also jumped the waves with Mommy and Daddy :)

Delaney hung out under the umbrella.
She slept to the sound of the waves crashing.
Father's Day was Sunday and we went back to the Mrytle Beach Aquarium.
Dylan was amazed at the sharks again this year!
This was such a cool picture!

He loved trying to touch them!

Here is Dylan on his 1/2 birthday playing in the arcade!
On June 17th he turned 2 1/2.

He loves the truck and motorcycle the best!  Just like last year!

On the same day, June 17th, Delaney turned 2 months old!  Here she is...
A few things about little miss...
She just started to smile big and "talk".  She babbles and coos and goos all the time...usually right after she eats!  A full belly always makes a happy baby :)
Weight:  12lbs 3oz 90%
Height:  23 1/2in 96%
Head:  39cm 82%
Feeding:  She nurses about 7-8 times a day.  Every 2-3 hours.
Sleeping:  She sleeps usually from 9pm-6am!
Napping:  She still likes to snooze about an hour after she eats!
She is such a good baby and her big brother loves her very much!

Here is Dylan at 2 months and Delaney at 2 months!
They sorta look alike...right?!
